So this is slightly late, but I was having problems with blogger this morning...
Urban outfitters is one of my favorite places to shop for clothes, has been for years, but I always found their home line a little too quirky...and this is coming from a lady who once painted a fish bowl gold...Lately, though I've seen a new sophistication in their home decor (not counting the toy soldiers or dino salt and pepper shakers). Here's a few of my favorites:

 via
I want this brass plant hanger so much it hurts...
These small wooden boxes would be great on a dresser for all those small baubles.
I am crushing so hard on these toy soldier bookends...totally having flashbacks to Toy Story..I think they could be super sweet in a playroom, or even add a little fun whimsy to an office.
This little wooden table would add so much dimension to a space.
I cannot lie. I love these dino salt and pepper shakers. They are so fun and keeping them black and white, makes them seem less juvenile.
How about you guys? Have you found you are giving any specific design line a second chance?

I'm Lovin' It May...

Seriously....when did it become May?....
Here's what I'm lovin' this month:
GroopDealz...I must live under a rock, because I've just discovered Groop Dealz, and I'm seriously addicted. I'm sad to say that I get very excited when I get their e-mails.....its the little things in life. Anyways for probably the one person out there, that is not already aware, GrooDealz is a shopping website that sends you fantastic "daily deals." Here's a few of the fantastic deals I've scored lately:
                                                                       via
These designer Scallop stacking rings are only $5.99 right now! I may have ordered the pink...and mint...and gold. What can I say, I love them.
Along with the mint leather bow bracelet for only $7.99.
and this Chevron ribbon in red for only $2.95, as well:
Yeah...I may be addicted.
Then there's the new Novogratz Brasil Collection at CB2....OBSESSED:

So many bright colors and patterns, with so many Brazilian influences. Love it.
There's just a bit of what I'm lovin' this month...What about you?

That's Pinteresting...

I love me some beautiful outdoor spaces...and after spending a day at my sister's new house and admiring her beautiful new patio and fire-pit (that I'm not jealous of at all...really I'm not), I have been pinning a ton of outdoor ideas for our next home. I am absolutely the stylist that believes that your patio or deck is just another room in your house, but unfortunately haven't done much with ours here. I do, however, have big dreams for our next home's outdoor space. Here's just a few of the spaces I've been lusting after:
And while "pinning" is fun....so is window shopping...
I'm dreaming of both a place to eat and a living space in our next backyard...
I'm loving the Applaro line at Ikea for outdoor furniture. They have some great pieces and prices.

The Threshold line at Target has great outdoor accessories this year, I can't wait to get my hands on these black and white Ikat print pillows.
I'm so excited about these bright and cheery wired stools from World Market. They would add so much fun and a great pop of color to the simple black and white theme above.

The Bali line from World Market is my dream outdoor dining furniture. I love the character and charm that comes from this set. I do, however, have dreams of a DIY outdoor table. I would love to design something with a built in ice bucket for drinks, made out of a fantastic piece of old wood.
Then there is this:
This is a definite in my book. I've always wanted some sort of outdoor bed, and I can't wait to try my hand at doing it myself....or drawing up plans for my husband to do it himself. I love the idea of the canopy around it too....too perfect.
So there it is, a list of plans...or dreams really, for a future outdoor space.
What about you? Any big plans for your backyard patio or deck this summer? Dish!

Movie buffs..

Something we are really excited about having in a future home is a media room. We are movie lovin' people over here, and in fact when we starting looking for our current house my crazy husband went and bought all the electronic stuff that builds a media room (projector/screen/surround sound) and sadly that all sits in a box somewhere, because alas our home doesn't have a space for it. While he is excited at the idea of loud speakers and a huge screen, I am excited to design such a fun space. While we've been trying to sell our home, and looking for a new dream home, I've been "pinning" away fantastic media room pictures:;
There are just so many possibilities. How about you guys? What have you been pinning lately?

I'm lovin' it April

Let me start by saying, I did not plan on taking a short blogging break last week, but apparently my electronical family had different ideas. Ever have a week where your laptop, desktop, tablet, and phone are all simultaneously not working..and you are not feeling your best....I have. Luckily, I married a computer genius/a pretty good nurse and now everything is working correctly...well sort of. In any case, I'm back today and playing catch up on every aspect of my life. So here it is, what I'm lovin' in April:
Ikea's Lappljung Ruta (say what?) Rug...
I'm obsessed with this graphic black and white rug. It adds so much texture to a small space and at only $69.99, you are bound to see this rug in nearly every space I do from now on...not kidding.
These Hand Painted Wooden Houses
As a kid I loved playing with blocks...probably more than a little girl should, so it's no surprise that I'm in love with the new wooden house block trend. These ones are probably my favorite and will look fabulous with my new rug ;)
Metallic Back splashes
Because I market myself as a stylist, not a designer, sadly, I will probably never get an opportunity to work with metallic tile, unless its in my own home. It's still fun to dream about though.
Ikea's Socker Greenhouse
via
Another Ikea find (can you tell I'm excited for it to come to Kansas). Love the idea of a miniature glass greenhouse in your home. Every space needs some kind of plant to bring life to a space, and this does it in style.
And last but not least...
World Market's Kona Blend Whole Bean Coffee
A great coffee that is not too strong.
That's it...What about you guys? Anything you're loving this month?
